Research has identified that Local SERP (Search Engine Results Page) ranking can be factored into eight different segments, each with a unique importance, weighted by percentage. These all affect a business’s ranking in Google’s Maps (Snack Pack) listings. The organic SERP ranking factors are slightly different.
The major reason ranking in the coveted top 3 Maps rankings is vitally important is because of mobile searches. Google made a big switch at end of 2015 to make sure all desktop searches and all mobile searches were identical.
